Day 03  Xinyuan → East Kalajun Grassland (VIP Private Lane) → Tekes Bagua City

After breakfast, head to Kalajun, Xinjiang’s iconic layered grassland. Enjoy exclusive VIP driving access without queuing for park shuttle buses. Visit all core viewing platforms: Wanna Service Center, Badamu Observation Deck, Divine Tree Forest, Bata Prayer Platform and Wusun Summer Capital, featuring rolling tiered meadows framed by distant snow ridges.

Day 04  Tekes → Zhaosu Yuhu Lake → Yizhao Highway → Yining

Spend the day exploring Zhaosu’s alpine secret lands filled with glacial lakes and heavenly horses:
Zhaosu Wetland Park (ticket + shuttle bus included): Watch the famous Heavenly Horse River Bathing Show—hundreds of Ili stallions gallop through shallow rivers, creating spectacular splashing scenes.
Zhaosu Yuhu Lake: An alpine glacial lake fed by meltwater from the Muzart Glacier on the Tianshan Mountains. Mineral sediments tint the water shifting hues of Tiffany blue, turquoise and emerald with sunlight and seasons, surrounded by quiet meadows.
Lake-view afternoon tea: Complimentary coffee for every guest to enjoy peaceful lakefront scenery.
Next, cross Yizhao Highway, nicknamed “Little Duku of Ili”. Traverse the Wusun Mountains past Baishifeng Observation Deck and Angelite Daban Pass. Capture snow peaks, primeval spruce, alpine grasslands, steep cliffs and sky-high winding roads all in one route.

Important Reminder: Yizhao Highway often closes due to mountain rain, snow or rockslides. If closed, the tour will reroute via expressway, cancel mountain stops along the way with no advance notice or compensation.

Day 05  Yining → Guozigou Bridge → Sayram Lake  → Yining

After breakfast,  departure, passing Guozigou Bridge, hailed as China’s most beautiful aerial highway. The giant bridge spans deep mountain gorges, offering postcard-perfect shots of the structure paired with snow peaks.
Arrive at Sayram Lake, dubbed “The Last Tear of the Atlantic Ocean”. Enjoy a full 270° circular tour via exclusive VIP shuttle (tickets included), with multiple secret lakeside stops for unlimited photography. The sapphire lake contrasts sharply with snow mountains and wild lakeshore blossoms, stunning in all light.

Morning tour of Kazanqi Folk Tourist Area (full ticket package): Ride traditional Hadik carriages winding through colourful Uyghur residential lanes, lined with vivid blue walls, floral window frames and courtyard gardens brimming with exotic Central Asian style.  Complimentary handmade artisanal ice cream for every guest—creamy local dairy dessert with unique traditional flavours.
After sightseeing, transfer to Yining International Airport for an internal flight to Kashgar, the core city of Southern Xinjiang. Private transfer upon arrival to downtown Kashgar hotel to begin your Pamir Plateau journey.

Day 07  Kashgar → Akto County → Kalakule Lake → Tashkurgan

After breakfast, departs for Akto County (3.5-hour drive), with elevation rising gradually from 1,300m in Kashgar toward the high plateau. Distant view of Oytag Glacier: Massive Kunlun Mountain glaciers stretch across mountain ridges with clear visible ice tongues. Kalakule Lake (ticket included): Surrounded by three snow giants – Muztagh Ata, Kongur Tagh and Kongur Tobe. The lake shifts shades of sapphire, cyan and silver grey with sunlight, creating the iconic “one lake reflecting three peaks” view.  Distant overlook of Muztagh Ata Glacier, the “Father of Ice Mountains”, standing majestically over the vast, wild Pamir landscape.  A further 1.5-hour drive reaches Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County (Tashkurgan). 

Reminder: Elevation rises steadily all day with extreme temperature swings between morning and night. Warm outerwear and insulated water bottles are essential.

Day 08  Tashkurgan – Panlong Ancient Road → Bandir Blue Lake → Stone City & Golden Grassland

Day 09  Tashkurgan → White Sand Lake → Kashgar Ancient City

After breakfast, depart Tashkurgan for Akto County (2.5-hour drive). Visit White Sand Lake (ticket included), a signature Pamir secret landscape. Pristine white sand dunes encircle a vivid blue lake backed by snow peaks, creating dramatic blue-and-white contrasts ideal for photography.
A 2-hour drive returns to Kashgar. Spend the afternoon freely exploring Kashgar Ancient City, recreating the prosperous scenes of an ancient Western Regions hub. Wander traditional Uyghur earthen architecture, artisan streets, local snack stalls, specialty cafés and photo studios. The bustling bar street comes alive after dark for you to experience Southern Xinjiang’s vibrant nightlife.
